That really works on the bike. Does not look obtrusive or out of place, and the Griso still has that awesome naked look. Have I mentioned the Griso is the best looked naked bike out there IMHO? Could this be still more evidence of a bias to all things Guzzi?

Yeah, go Guzzi go There's some sensational bikes out there, but how often do you hear people say they couldn't go "back" to anything else, once they've bought their first Guzzi? Breva 1200 in latest Road Rider magazine I see. Now that's a serious naked tourer as well......lacks the great looks of the Griso, but has a tank that means you don't have to look for a pub and/or bike fuel every 200 k's! I wonder if ProEuro is open this morning.....might have to go for a drool. There's a nice uninterrupted, twisty road between them and me

That's the thing that I always found strange, I've had mates for years that rode Guzzi's, whenever they replaced their bike or bought something 'new' it was always another Guzzi. They could never explain why? Now that I own Guzzi's, I still don't understand why, but I don't look at other bikes & think 'Oh, I'd like one of those', but I do when I look at most Guzzi's. Is it a state of mind, some kind of mental defect or is it a virus that you'll never get rid of, who cares!
Sorry Hairee & Mark, but it doesn't happen when I look at Breva's or Norge's, why the fark is that? But I'd nick Mark's Tenni or Swagzz's Griso in a heart beat.

I'd love a white 8v Griso! (and a red 1200 Sport, and a V7 Cafe Classic, and a genuine classic V7 Sport, and a red Norge or a Stelvio and even a Cali of some sort (just so I could get a t-shirt) and a........well you get the point!) The Breva is the "I-can-only-afford-one-bike-well-mannered-easy-to-ride-tourable-fast-enough-for-me" practical bike (and I think it looks ok). I could have gone overboard, been totally impractical, possibly been divorced, and bought the biggest, meanest, fastest son-of-a-gun Guzzi imaginable, but, well, life is full of compromises I'm going to experience real agony when the Cafe lands in Oz. I love 750's

Wal wrote: Sorry Hairee & Mark, but it doesn't happen when I look at Breva's or Norge's, why the fark is that? It is probably another manifestation of your terminal case of Cali addiction. Actually I know what you mean about the Norge, it is not the balls and all Guzzi of old. Also the engine is half hidden, this is a serious design flaw in my view. However be assured that the heart of a true Guzzi beats within. It is certainly more refined and perhaps subtle, but it is there. Get in the groove and push it and it responds wonderfully. Now the V11 is a different matter, I would describe the riding experience as raw, primal, vital, and a lot of other wank words too, insert your own here if you wish. It is probably the most emotive bike I've ever ridden, it is just a sensory overload. Bloody marvelous really. That nature might not work so well with a tourer like the Norge, although it would be fun to try.

This is one frustrating Easter weekend, weather-wise! Managed a bit of a ride yesterday, and blew away some cob-webs, until a certain BMW with Wal's so-called party lights roared up behind me, overtook dangerously and disappeared into the distance. Very impressive.....why should he have all the fun? But yes.....found an old scrapbook I'd started as a teenager, with all sorts of emotive comments under clippings of anything to do with m'bikes. Strange (and embarassing), but bikes are like that! And like lots of things, it's what you find is right for you, that is right for you! Right now, for me, it's a red Breva 750 A 'busa, swagzz??? No, I prefer my eye-balls to remain securely where they're meant to be, thank you very much.

Hairee, know exactly what you mean about the partybus BM, had one do it to me about 3 years ago & Cuntstable Plod pulled me up & booked me for speeding. How did he know as he was near-on sideways trying not to run into the back of me, next time it happens, there was a kid/car/dog about to come out of that yard there & I emergency braked, I'll let the maggot run up the back of me then fight the farkers in court, be interesting to see how they explain it as if you run up the back of anybody you are always at fault for travelling too close.
Busa' don't do it for me Swagzz, they're docile as until you get them wound up, Masto has 180 GG's at the back wheel so the 'need for speed' has well & truly been met, I like Mick F's big H CB1300 retro, but no reserve, too many idiot lights, EFI, sound like a singer sewing machine, but would make an awesome long range tourer. Maybe I should nick the Norge for a weekend & I might change my tune on them, but I think I'd prefer a Cali Touring Special, better looks in my opinion.
