B it late with this bit but I only found out during the week and booked a test ride on a new 8v Griso and a v7 at GC Suzuki at Burleigh.
They had bikes up from Sydney for the day.
I got there and found that they had double booked but the staff there organised
another test run at the last minute to accomodate everyone.
The run out through the Tallebudgera Valley was about 16 Klms of reasonably twisty roads
with 80klm COUGH COUGH speed limits.
I took the V7 out first and was a bit stunned at how small it really is aand throwable once I got used to it.
The suspension is a bit rudimentary after riding the G11 for a year but good rubber on it and time to set it up it would be a hell of a lot of fun. As it was I got to the turn around point a bout 20 seconds after our lead rider.
Was like riding a dirt bike compared to the G11.
Yeah Hairee, its only a small block and I was wringing its neck but still was no slouch through the twisty bits.
At the stop the guy who I had so graciously donated the 8V G to test ride pulled up absolutely rapt in the bike. Couldn't stop babbling so I think there is another case of GF aka Guzzi Flu.
The 8V had a Termogoni pipe on it and sounded F%&%$^ awesome {trip to pipemasters still on the cards for the G11} so I jumped on the 8Vto give it a little test run at //legal speeds on the way back. I've had a year to sort my suspension settings out so I knew pretty much how it would handle in a short time which let me give the bike shop guy on a Turono a hurry up along the way.
100cc more, 4 valve heads, more grunt than a cop car full of detectives

.
lots of fun but I'm keeping the 11G .I would love to put a white one or a 8V SE in the garage too but not this tax check.
Later swagzz
