This is the latest incarnation of the 750 Breva. It follows on from the Classic. I have to say it is growing on me. I was amazed to see pillion foot pegs, you'd want a brave passenger to perch on the back of that seat. However, the seat does look great on the bike, so who cares about such mundane practical issues

Yes please.....one of these too :!: :!:
Clip-ons at my age? Well, ok.....just for a Sunday ride I guess.
Couldn't we have twin discs up front just for looks, even if it doesn't need 'em?
This is an interesting path Guzzi has travelled down.
I have a feeling they might sell a few???
I love 750's, so this is a great development in my book!

Hey I could nearly buy a Breva if thet're going to look like that.
Just fit a screen & some footboards & it'd be ok.
Oh & more front brakes (have to agree with you there Hairee)

I've seen a picture of a cafe version of the bellagio too.

I think it looks the goods also.

Got to agree. The bike would look better with twin dis front and gaiters on the forks.

It only needs pull backs or Ape Hangers and a set of highway pegs. Seriously now when is it due in Australia. The best looking original sport is the V7S followed closely by the V7S3

One would think in this day and age that moto guzzi should know by now how to put some horse -power into the little guzzi's. 45 1/2 horses is not very much for a 750. It is embarrassing to have so little power in the 750 class, might as well throw out the fuel injection and the small motor and refit the large block 750 motor with old square slide carbies so as to have much more usable power and speed. Love the look of the cafe and will probably get one, but am still disappointed with the lack of power.

Quoted V50 HP 45 :moped:
V65 HP 52
Lario HP 60
V75 HP 65
Breva 750 HP ??
V7 Cafe HP 45. Must be a misquote as one would expect more HP if the old carby 750 has 65 HP.

Breva 750 brochure says 48.28 HP, which is less (on paper at least) than my mid-seventies BMW! :|

Yes, it's all a bit dissappointing when you look at the figures, and compare them to other manufacturer's present day bikes, of lesser capacity even :(

But the way the Guzzi delivers the power, it's comparitive torque perhaps, and the fact that it's a GUZZI, and especially if it's a RED ONE.....!!!........who cares what the brochure says!? :crossy: :race: :guzzi: :guzzi: :guzzi:

Which model BMW Hairee?

I'm sure my R75/5 puts out 37 horsies... exactly half of the K75 at 74.

Then again the R75 handles very poorly in comparison to most other bikes of the day as it has a very short swingarm and wallows around corners. :snail:

It was an R75/6, ozstrider23.
Maybe my memory deceives me. Will go digging.
At the time we (touring club mates) felt the /6 was a good compromise for a comfortable tourer with acceptable handling, versus something a bit sportier but with less comfort.
A lot of friends had R90S's, Honda Fours, Kwaka 9's and the like, with a few Guzzis and Ducatis as well.

NOTE: Googled the Beemers and also found an old /5 brochure in the garden shed:
Claimed 50 bhp (DIN) @ 6200rpm 57 bhp (SAE) @ 6400 rpm.
Purchase Price when new: $2195.00 plus $55.00 rego (Victoria).

But to get back to the Cafe Classic: someone said it won't be imported to Oz.
Has anyone else heard/know anything?

Heard that it has 49 horses. Borrowed an american magazine and they reckon it wont be imported because it wont sell due to its lack of power. Thats the way I remember reading the article, anyway its nearly time for some more wine
