Hi Guys

From the horses mouth (Motorino Sydney). The V7 Cafe was originally not going to be imported but The Sample group have changed their mind due to the number of enquiries and are going to bring in a batch of 10 around September '09.

The interesting thing is, they originally only brought in 10 of the V7 classics thinking they would be a low seller due to power etc. but they all sold out in 2 weeks!! (even the Demo) and they have been caught with their pants down. A new batch arrived about 2 weeks ago and they have nearly all sold too.

You'de think they may have got the idea by now that not all riders are looking for stratospheric crotch rocket RZCBRRRR's.

It does seem odd that they would not realize this. After all, the Breva 750, and the Nevada seem to have been steady sellers over the years. At least I assume this as there seem to be plenty of them around.

I'll be interested to see if the Cafe looks as good as it appears in the pictures. The Classic sure does, or at least it looks good to me. It's hard to find anything bad to say about these bikes. They have been around forever and are reliable and well sorted, and now they have the cool retro look too. I'd be surprised if the batch of ten doesn't sell just as fast as the first lot of Classics.

and for those wanting a crotch rocket
MGS 01
a road going version of that would balance the shed out nicely

Official Moto Guzzi video. It's worth a look for the detail shots and the cool music.

Can't help thinking it would have looked very cool with Conti replica pipes rather than recycling the Breva pipes. First parts to go in the skip usually so who cares I guess.
