HI guzzista,

I missed the June club meeting due to a long standing tradition :drinking-3: - I can feel 4 series in a row coming on - death to cockroachs :bash:

I dont know if there was any discussion on the Ride for Daniel? :censor:

Anyway :focus: is there anyone interested in the Ride for Daniel this weekend.
I am trying to talk the ball and chain into an appearance but she is still a bit peeved from the last club outing she attended on the ride to Maleny a few months/year? ago  thought we were all old farts and sensible and I would have to ride slow to keep with you all :race:

She is a bit wiser now. :thumb:

Am getting a new set of tyres tomorrow so they should be nearly scrubbed in by then. :ylsuper:

:guzzi:

Hi Spoon,
Last year, after watching the Ride at Yandina, I thought it would be great to participate.
However, my spies tell me that there is some undisciplined riding on these occaisions.......overtaking in the same lane, for instance. It gave me pause for thought and I might err on the side of caution.
Sure does look good though

Sorry mate, not for me. I have an aversion to these large group rides, you never know what kind riders you are surrounded by. I do the Ipswich Toy Run each year and that is my only big group run. I have done others in years past and more than once pulled out due to some hair brained riding by others. Good luck to them, it's a worthwhile cause and I hope everyone has a safe ride.

Know where ya coming from.
Last years Group Ride to the GP saw a HD Sportser rider, tear up through the 8000 odd bikes, overtaking, undertaking every which way until his luck ran out. Result 7 bikes down, not a pretty site. Should've HUNG the bastos.
Hope it is a good safe ride for all who go. Us shift workers find it hard to plan for these things.

The ride has clashed with our Bunya weekend in the past.
I went on the ride one year.....it's a great cause, and amazing to be part of such a big group, but the time I attended there was too much of the type of riding already described.
There are some idiots out there on cruisers, and somebody clipped another bike and brought him down.
Also a lot of very slow, clutch riding, walking-pace stretches.
Overall I still enjoyed being part of it, so don't let my comments put you off......thought about going tomorrow, but other committments have prevented me doing so.
