O.K here is my question in order to get rid of the remaining zero.
What can be done to stop those little black rubber bung things in the allen bolts, on the Breva 750 heads, from coming out?
They start out round, then conform to the internal shape of the bolts, then come adrift, never to be seen again.
Is this technically challenging enough for you?
I think they just tidy up the look of things, and I don't like riding around with them missing.
Am I a pedant?
Don't care.......want me little bung things to stay in, and no rude comments thankyou.
All genuine suggestions gratefully received. :)

Rats. Just realised there's a pair of zeros on the membership enquiries section.
Anyone know any non-members out there to get rid of them?
They look untidy and meaningless. :x

And that ad's at the top of the screen again. He's following me!

I'm confused. Maybe you could post a picture to help explain this to we non 750 Breva types.

Well, when I get time to figure out how to post a pic, but may not help.
If you look side-on at a 750, they are either side of the spark plugs, i.e. moving from front to rear, one in front of plug, one behind.
2 per cylinder. Little, flat-topped, black, size of a $2 coin. The ones nearest the exhaust outlet (front) seem to dissappear first. Get hotter?
Aha, got a pic....can just see the front-most one if you click and enlarge the pic. Rear-most one is obscured by plug lead.Image
Ah, what a mighty fine looking motorcycle. Let's just sit and admire it a while....don't worry about the bungs for a few minutes. Red's better, but, hey?

If they are little plug thingies that sit in the head of an allen key bolt, then hop off down to your local one legged horse merchant, I am sure he will have them & if you told him they were for a Guzzi (a what?), he wouldn't charge you the obscene price they charge the owners of one legged horses.

If it was something else you needed plugged, since you keep on about other sites, then maybe the Wickham hotel, I am told there are the sort of people who like things that need to be plugged.

By the way, a one legged horse is one of those very expensive American built motorcycles that look sort of pretty, but are horid to ride any sort of distance.
I know as I've owned two of them over the years, actually about 10 years all up.

Our man in Deshon St has them, (can we give plugs, pardon the pun, here?), but I need to know how to stop 'em coming out when riding.
Maybe there's something made of metal that would suit.

You will have to ban yourself again, Wal, referring to people needing things plugged like that.
Which reminds me, a certain ad is haunting me still!!! Make him go away!!!

I can't be held responsible for your dirty mind, eh.
I was just offering you some advice, you need not take it if you wish.

The ones they fit to the American bikes are either chromed plastic or metal, they usually stay in place for a few years unless you are taking them in & out all the time.
With all those Japanese copy cruisers on the market, you may find even the 'normal' corner store motorcycle shops might have them.

If you got in touch with say Coventry Fasteners (if they are still in business) they I think have them as well, it would possibly be cheaper than an American bike store.

Clark Rubber came to the rescue.
Slightly bigger than originals, domed not flat, but seem to have stayed put the last couple of months. :)

The American bike store knew what I was on about, but had nothing.

Mind you, I could have had just about anything else I desired with the American brand name on it.
First time I'd set foot inside their shop.....quite an eye-opener.....merchandising at it's "best" :?:
