Just surfing the web & have found some lovely custom Jap Guzzi's.
Check out the link attached for what I think is my favorite - a sweet purple lemans:

As a footnote: For those that like Bavarian Money Wasters you could spend hours on this site (if that's your bag).

Gotta say that is one sweet looking machine. Kinda inspires one to find a Tonti framed bike to share some quality shed time with :thumb:

This would also emable me to continue my social experiment......

How many Guzzis can I get before my wife says ENOUGH !!!!

Actually if I ever get her on a 750 Breva I doubt the problem will arise

Seems they like their Guzzis in Japan, found this a while back on da tube

The Japanese were smitten with European machinery. There was a guy, German I think, who went around Australia purchasing as many R90S, 900SS, Laverdas and other exotica to be sold there for a tidy profit in the 80's. I know of one guy who sold him his R90S and 900SS and regretted it ever since.

Many manufacturers even catered to Japan's 400cc registration advantage. Guzzi produced V40's just for that market. The Capri and there was a Targa too, evidently. Now that LAMS is in Qld there are a number of 400SS Ducatis being imported here from Japan. I'm sure you could get a Capri sent over if you wanted one that much but why would you bother.

I saw 2, 400 Ducs for sale at a local dealer recently. They were asking over $7k.

Take a closer look at the detail work on the red Lemans MK1
Someone has spent an insane amount of time cleaning up the welds & superbly finishing off even the smallest detail, check out the fabricated aluminium battery box, instrument cluster & just the overall finish of the bike.
Wonder how much a flight to Japan costs?

I went for a ride for a friend's birthday on Sunday (yesterday). One of the riders imports bikes from Japan and sells them here. Wouldn't be hard to put an order in.

Sounds like a perfect plan.
I'd imagine convincing the Minister for finance would be another matter altogether.
Still, a man can always dream.
