I'm biased since I'm also in the club that runs it. However, it is huge, expect over 1,000 on saturday night. Seems to me that everyone I see there has a damn good time. If you get there be sure to look me up, I'm behind the bar pretty much all weekend. Info on the rally here > http://www.leisure-riders.com/faqs.htm

The weather forecast is looking pretty ordinary. That may dent the attendance. The Friday the 13th Rally is on this weekend too at Goomeri. That my put another dent in it. I'm thinking of going. I'll wait and see if I'll get wet or drowned. I can live with wet.

There are plenty of good camping spots, naturally it is first in best dressed. Thunderstorms are not unknown at the rally, although it has been a few years since we've had a good one. If it looks really bad I would stay on the upper level rather than down beside the creek under the canopy of trees (best is to not set up under a tree if it looks like a storm, branches tend to break off). Be sure to put the tent up properly. I know this sounds obvious, but I've seen so many people not bother with all the guy ropes on so on and they have paid the price The good news is that the bar/food/entertainment area is undercover and holds a lot of people, so staying out of the rain is no problem. Besides you don't want to stray too far from the bar anyway.
