Hi All,
Well I am picking up a new V7 classic on Saturday. Difficult choosing between the cafe and classic but seing as I will be commuting went with the safer option. Took the black although many seem to prefer white. Dunno, the black and gold reminds me of Norton which is kinda nostalgic.
Tricky thing is whether I ride or watch GP. Couldn't make it down this year and am interested to see how the entire event looks on TV. Probably end up riding, I have been subjected to an old beaten up 79 Honda Twin for many many years but am finally free to return to my Italian beauties..I cant sleep, its pathetic I know, but i have done without for so long.
Any way look forward to meeting you guys and signing on if youll have me

All "Small Blockers" are most welcome at the Guzzi Club. Even Wal might talk to you! I guess you're like a kid waiting for his b'day to arrive, or on Christmas Eve. I'm sure everyone on here knows what you mean about not sleeping. Look forward to seeing the new bike

Welcome Garth, and congrats on the new bike (only one more sleep to go). I reckon the Classic looks great in the black/gold colour scheme. I'm sure you'll love it

Small blocks, but big......??? Hearts? No......no new club necessary swagzz....we're just quietly infiltrating, looking, looking, watching, watching, waiting, waiting.....until the motorcycling community realizes....... SMALL BLOCK GUZZIS RULE, OK? (Yes, even the "modern" fuel injected ones, you carbie-minded purists out there!) N.B. I'm not too sure about Nevadas tho.....they look too much like a baby Cali.....Wal can have them!

Dont knock Nevadas O.K. Though I'll admit I could possibly be enticed, pursuaded, even cajoled into doing a deal on a Classic . The Cafe might be a bit much for the back ,tho. someone who thought he was important, once said " Life wasn't meant to be easy."

I remember an older mate turning up on a club ride, back in the late '60's, on a V7. We were all still riding 350's and maybe 450 Hondas and the like. Had never seen a Guzzi before, and couldn't understand how he was going to control such a monster! HA! Took me for a blast on the pillion....needless to say that was when I decided I had to own a Guzzi one day......pity it took me another (insert embarrassingly large 2 digit number) years, and a string of assorted Japanese and 1 German bike. But back to topic.....hope you enjoyed the first couple of days ownership of the Classic, Garth.

Hi Garth,
Great choice on the colour. The black & gold looks sensational, i'm sure you'll love the V7. It looks like Hairee's plot for small block riders to dominate the Universe continues...............

Okay well i picked it up...finding first hear a little tricky but expected that from articles I have read. Not too happy with clutch lever very hard which is uncomfortable when commuting. Small fry stuff though compared to the buzz. Spend a lot of time on MotoGP last weekend so off to Mt Glorious in morning and swinging around through Kilcoy and to Bribie and back through Dayboro then on Sunday considering track day viewing but might practice a little more on this baby and take her up to Boonah.
Thansk for all of the goodays, will try and make next meeting.

Until then trick is to release the clutch slightly/carefully with your foot on the lever....it clunks in nicely. Found the clutch a bit heavy at first myself, but figured I'd been away from bikes too long and needed to do some body building or something?? Don't notice it now.
