As the topic says the standard mufflers weigh quite a lot and it is suspended off 2 bolts near the front of the mufflers and as a result the lower snout on said muffler broke off and whilst it would have been possible to repair I was considering pipes anyway so it seemed like a good time to indulge so over to pete at pipemasters and a couple of days later it now sounds like a large Vtwin should Cheers Pat

Yes, I know, noisy pipes save lives, but.........Mr Plod is supposedly getting a bit aggressive these days.
