Can't believe it!!!

Just heard our Commisioner of Police (that guy who apparently can't afford a decent fitting pair of dentures....what tune will he whistle next?), rabbiting on about stopping motorcyclists speeding, because we are over-represented in road fatalities.
Will we all receive another tombstone letter?

We are to be identified even though we don't have front number plates, and also somehow they will overcome the problem of motorcyclists reaching back and covering their rear number plates with their hands, as they pass a speed camera!
I've noticed you guys doing that all the time! NOT! You've gotta stop popping monos as well.....stops the camera catching your number!

Speed cameras are working well, aren't they? HA!
Same top cop stated that road fatalities are way up on last year......isn't it time our government and their revenue collectors re-visited the strategy for reducing the road toll?
:2c:

My apologies to top cop if there's some other reason for whistley speech.....Anna might need to pay him more. :police:

No, it appears from what I heard today that they are going to-

1. Place a zero alcohol level on ALL motorcyclist.

2. Place electronic identification tags on all motorcycles.

The Federal stay safe committee have been investigating ways to enforce speed limits on motorcycles, after 2 years & $500 000 (I think that was the figure but knowing Government bodies it was probably 10x that amount & I mis-read it), they have decided that fitting front licence plates to motorcycles is not safe for motorcyclists & pedestrians, so the Federal Government has asked the Queensland Government to look into electronic tags (as they were already investigating them), the S.A Government were looking at twin lens speed cameras, one facing forward & the other backwards (camera locks onto vehicle takes a picture of the front of the vehicle as per the norm & the camera tracks the vehicle taking a rear picture as the vehicle passes the camera).

I don't mind them lowering the alcohol limit (I was nearly killed by a drunk driver), but you should at least be able to have 1 low alcohol drink & still drive/ride.

As for the tag, I'll be attaching the Tig welder to it (high frequency outputs have a lovely habit of destroying electronic devices), farked if I know why my e tag isn't working orificer.

I think a high court challenge to the zero alchohol for motor cyclists as it is discrimination would be the go and if not then it should be applied to all vehicle operators.
See how many pubs go to the wall then and how much revenue the grubbinmouth loses from alchohol taxes.
I;ll bring my electronic tag around and we can have a tig session Wal.
