Where were youse??
I was halfway between the top hairpin and the chicane leading to it.
Parked the bike adjacent to the track.....food and loos a short walk away.
Stood behind the concrete barrier, seemingly an arm's length from the competitors......best bit (almost) was to see the grins on the racer's faces as they flashed past in open-faced helmets, and the cop on his beemer, blues'n'toos going, :race: :police: as he slowed for the hairpin, behind the last bike, at the close of racing, shouting to the crowd "I can't catch him!!".
A Qld cop with a sense of humour?????
If they stage more of these events up there, and they're talking as if they will, and you are interested in The Classics (and more recent models), be sure to mark it on your calendar.
Some nice old bikes (our friend from Morgan Park, Mr Ariel on his 1939 Ariel, and others, were there).
A great day's entertainment.....relaxing close to home, on Mt Coot-tha watching people attempting to go fast, on 2, 3 and 4 wheels. :moped:

Sounds like a good day. I was on a ride with a group of folk today so not able to be in two places (or three if you count the racing at Qld Raceway). Maybe next time.
