I'm thinking of heading off to this rally. Anyone else?

If I go then I'm intending on continuing north. I know a block of land on the water near Bowen where I can camp then I'd like to do the Captain Cook Highway between Cairns and Cape Tribulation. Then come back and do the Cairns-Kuranda-Mareeba area and across the tablelands.

I don't have any particular time frame in mind. If the weather looks good I may do the northern part before the rally or after. We are talking about a trip of 4,000km or more.
