Luckily no, but they were set up outbound on the S/E Freeway just near the end of the road works on Friday morning. And 500 metres away was the other end of it, working flat out raking in the dollars. I don't have a prob with them set up in roadworks etc, but this is the thin edge of the wedge, they'll find a place to abuse it, then abuse it to the hilt.
Ahh how times progress, wasn't this how radars were first used, gwaky big things (where the joke first started 20 years ago) to one man hand helds, now back to the old 500 metre double ended cun*.
If I'm lucky, police might actualy revert back to being people I respect, like I did many years ago. But I don't think that will happen again in my life time.

Gee I hope none of the evil traffic branch read this ............... shouldn't worry, most of them crawled out of the shallow end of the gene pool and haven't mastered the art of reading, most of them have just learned to walk upright (but still drag there knuckles when they walk).
