Howdy gals and guys,

:guzzi:

I am seeking interest from all members who would like to attend this years snowy ride - 7 nov 2009.

:race:

check out the web site

http://www.snowyride.com.au/

I am thinking along the lines of a 2 two day (1 night only, depart SEQLD thurs morning) run down to Thredbo, arriving Friday afternoon 6th, staying 3 nights in thredbo (fri, sat and sun nights), depart thredbo for return to SEQLD monday morning with a similar 2 day (1 night only) ride back, arriving back tuesday 10th afternoon/evening.

Accommodation in Thredbo is tricky. I am thinking along the lines of a single chalet to house us all, but if there are more than say 12 people ( the single biggest chalet I can find so far ). BEWARE, some chalets do not have any parking at all let alone undecover parking. :bash:

Thats why I need to have a pretty good idea of anticipated attendence on the 2009 MGCOQ Thredbo Thrash

:satanic:

Basic plan for the Snowy ride can be discussed at the next club meeting.
The issue now is to get an attendees list so that accommodation can be booked.

My suggestion is that if we stay in Thredbo, where the presentations happen on sat night, we can do a single loop around the mountains on saturday collecting all nine checkpoints in the surrounding towns. I have had a quick look at the route and it would only total about 400kms at the most to visit all 9, but if people are not up to a few more kays, you only need to get a minimum of 3 checkpoints to be in the running for the prize (see web site for more info).

All dialog welcomed.

Howdy Spoon,

I'm keen to do this but can't commit until October sometime.

Thanks Sandra,

:guzzi:

Better to have ya booked in to cover for the slightest chance.

:crossy:

I have a feeling that even though I am doing all the organising for this thrash, theres a very good chance that I will not be able to escape for the 7 odd days required.

:bash:

I have an idea to put forward to all you thredbo thrash attendees, those whole 1 maybe of youall out there.

:thumb:

I am gauging interest in your desire to own a commerative T shirt as a reminder of Thredbo Thrash things past .

:eyecrazy:

I have an idea to produce a run of t- shirts limited to the number of participants and numbered accordingly,
for example

Number 1 of 12

T shirts will be in three (3) colours only, green, white and red and shirt numbers will be controlled so that all shirts will be set up in sets of 3 (so if 12 people attend there will only be 4 of each colour available) to create the italian flag colours; All T shirts will have the following graphics:
front;
will be Moto Guzzi Red Corporate logo with some text below it, a phrase I plagarised from our club year book.

rear;
a large centre graphic representing something of the journey to thredbo and hopefully return,
with a bit of surrounding text,
top of graphic - thredbo thrash.
below graphic - moto guzzi club of queensland, november 2009.
25th year anniversary. Number 1 of 12

All text black

These T Shirts would be available for the cost of production only, final dollar cost per unit has not been finalised as yet, but if I was a gambling man I would be guessing at around the $15 to $30 range?

Let me know what your thoughts are.
