Hi Guru's
I have started having a bit of an issue with the fuel system (i think) on my 05 Nevada. it occasionally stalls under hard brakeing and coughs occasionally when i hit a bump. (funny story, it actually caused me to hit a gate yesterday and i have a few stiches to show for it)

Being my first bike, im bringing my car knowledge over and im thinking its a fuel delivery issue. EFI light isnt on when it coughs or before the stall, but im thinking that crap in a fuel filter could explain the issue.

Any1 got any ideas? Due to the on & off nature of the problem i think a mechanic will have no hope of experiencing it so im wanting to play myself (and cause i love working on motors)
Thanks

My best guess would possibly be a loose connection somewhere on the EFI system, a shake or rapid change in attitude moves the wire sufficiently to to upset it enough to cause a cough but not enough to activate the EFI warning light.
Ring Tom at Newells, he'll always give you tips about various stuff, hopefully then you can fix it yourself rather than taking it to him as he's always so busy.
Tom is a Guzzisti, a club member & a shop, but he'll always try to help you fix it yourself first.
