Crump, From Petrie get on the Gateway Mwy go over the Gateway Bridge and keep going till you get onto the Pacific Mwy (M1) towards the Gold Coast. You then take EXIT 38 off the motorway, this is just south of Beenleigh. In case you don't know the exit numbers reflect the exits distance from the Brisbane CBD they do not run consecutively. Anyway when you get off at this exit you come to a roundabout, make a tight left turn here to the first exit off the roundabout. The service station is a hundred metres or so on the right. As for how long this will take, I'm not sure. At a guess I'd say around 45 minutes as you should get a traffic free run. Others may know better than me about this. See you there

If you are looking at options for the trip home and were thinking about the Gwydir Hwy (I was) you might find this interesting http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/constructionmaintenance/majorconstructionprojectsregional/northcoast/gwydirhighway.htmlApparently the road is closed during the week but is open on weekends, but they mention delays. Not sure just how long these delays are, so I don't think I'll risk it. Pity, a damn nice ride that road If I'm looking at a resonably direct run home I might just follow the New England up to Tenterfield then East on the Bruxner Hwy to Casino. Then North to Kyogleto the Mt Lindsey Hwy and home. Would love to do the Oxley Hwy but it will make it a long 'ol day, so I'll keep that for another time. Anyone else given this any thought? Ideas???

Crump! Glad you finally made it on a ride, and good to meet you and the SP3 face-to-face. Hope you enjoyed the trip, I know I did despite the rain. At least we had dry roads for a lot of the twisty bits coming home, and it was great meeting all the NSW Guzzisti at Bendemeer. See you next time.........
