Excited? Hell, I got so worked up about it I finally got around to updating the webpage (after some nagging from club members :bash: ) Fair enough too, I had been a bit slack....

You can find it here  http://www.motoguzziclubqld.org/our_rally.htm

Should be a top weekend as always. Last year Hairy, Al, and myself met up at Boonah on Friday morning for breakfast. Then we headed off to the rally via Queen Mary Falls, Old Caves winery (mmmm Port), and down the back road to Mingoola. A great ride it was too. If anyone is interested we could do a repeat performance this year.

:guzzi:

talking about updated web pages Mark909, what about this one?

http://www.motoguzziclubqld.org/index.htm

I have no idea of my ability to attend any activity this year (starting new job - 10 month contract with travel) so I am now saying yes to things and working out the consequences later, if possible.

Rally time is a guess at this stage; My best guess at this stage is that I would be able to arrive at site late friday night, otherwise, who knows?

Hope to catch up with ya crump.

I've booked up a day's annual leave for the Friday again, so am quite happy to follow your satnav once again Mark909.
Hey, you'll have to take the new toy to it's first Budgie! Is there a satnav mount fitted, or does that not quite fit the image?

SpooN,
Late night arrivals at the rally is not great if you are coming in the back way.
I worked on Fri one year & left straight after work (around 6pm), got to Stanthorpe around 9.30, grabbed a quick bite & headed out, with all the bouncing dogs trying to commit hurri curri I was estricted to near walking pace (I kid you not, around 30kph as you'd come along & all of a sudden a roo would jump out in front of you & stand there), it took 3 & 1/2 hours from Stany & I was absolutely shot (never ever had to concentrate so hard on a bike).
If you're planning a late arrival come in the front way & try to use a 4 wheeler as a shield where you can.

G'day all.
This will be my first ruptured budgie and first rally in about 20 years. I plan on going down on the friday and would prefer to ride with a small group so if anyone is going and doesnt mind me tagging along I would appreciate it. I will be riding a le mans mk IV.

There are usually quite a few of us heading down there on Friday. Last year we met at Boonah and went via Queen Mary Falls and Killarney. Very nice ride, i'd be quite happy to do it again this year. As soon as we have some plans in place they be posted here and on the club website. I imagine we'll talk about this at the club meeting on 6 May.

Ian T & myself will be heading earlyish in the cars, to drag down club trailers etc., we generally hit Stanthorpe around 10am, so leave Bris around 6ish, not suggesting you want to ride down with the vehicles but if you need any extra gear taken down then let us know.

Hey Crump, is that you I see nearly every morning towing a blue trailer behind a Lemon?
I see a red (but weren't they all) Lemon every morning about 5.45 going past the Caltex at Carseldine heading towards Strathpine.
