Just fitted a pair of Michelin macadams to the Nevada. Man, what a difference it has made.
The old metzelers were originals from 2003. The front looked ok, but the rear was very squared off, and when removed both were very stiff - the bike had only rolled over about 10,500km since new. The PO was also running significantly lower pressures than recommended and had fiddled with the rear shocks to the extent that the springs were screwed down to the max and damping was on its softest setting

No wonder it felt a bit weird and 'squirelly' over road lines and surface changes when riding home.
Now with the new rubber, careful resetting of the rear shocks and removal of the very large screen it at last handles as 'sporty' as it looks.
