I've just removed the large 'barn door' style Vigano screen from my bike. It was causing major turbulence problems at head/eye level over about 90kph. What a difference, I'm now enjoying a much sweeter and breezy ride . Not too sure what to do with the Vigano screen just yet but might like to try a much smaller screen for winter. Any recommendations from the knowledgeable members of this forum? Jan

There are places that can cut your existing screen if it is suitable for that. I have no ideaof what your existing one looks like. They can all have various effects at different speeds and cross winds though. Nice to hide behind when the weather is crappy though.

Rod, the screen is Italian made by Vigano accessories. It is actually oval shaped with no straight sides and is braced with chromed metal strips. If you look at the Triumph advert on the back cover of the latest Australian RoadRider magazine, my screen is very similar to one shown on the Triumph America. It is also mounted very upright and acts like a curved shield. It is also extremely curved around the top edge and I do not think it would be suitable for cutting down, nor would it be easy to angle it back towards the rider with the standard mounts. I would also not wish to alter the originality of the screen as it may suit another bike and rider perfectly as it is. Might get time to post a pic some time. However, as husband has some experience angling and cutting down screens, we are pretty sure a much smaller style could be quite effective. Eagle Screens don't seem to have anything for the Nevada, so am searching for guidance Jan

The only one listed on the Oz Guzzi site looks like a large-ish type http://www.motoguzzi.com.au/pdfs/accnevada.pdf. Not a bad looking screen, but maybe something smaller would be better? There are generic ones around, worth looking in the bike shops to see if anyone has some on a shelf somewhere.

Thanks again for for your assistance. Eagle Screens in WA did come good with a very comprehensive e-mailed response including details and photos of many cruiser type screens, from their small and reasonably priced Eagle-Eater range (standard, med & large) to some truly humungous wind-breaks. However, I have decided to get used to riding naked for a while before deciding on a screen. Thanks also for the 'All Bike Screens' address in Slacks Creek. I will check them out as well.

I've come into this a bit late, but if you wish to try a screen, Jan, I have the original (Small) screen off the wifes Nevada sitting here looking for a home. As the wife has DUCK's desease (Can only just see over the clocks) it was not for her and I don't think it will suit the 1100 Sport to well. If your in Brisvegas and want to try it, give us a yell. Rgds Peter
