Well it's over, I think everybody had a great time, no incidents of real note to report.
We carted the club esky & some of the drinks up, RSI (TomN) carted the rest of the booze & Alfred carted the nibblies.
Those bike mounted attendees were 'tipped' off to the storm by Eric (the fun spoiler). Coming up the Gap, it was that bad that I was navigating by the white line out of the drivers window, a little old lady (in a VW thingy) sat behind me the whole way up (I was doing about 40kph), not because of the rain but the van is now the slowest hill climbing vehicle in history.
The bikes arrived mid afternoon (a few had wet lower legs & feet from puddle jumping) to damp but sunny conditions, everybody set up tent & grabbed a coldy.
No one fell off, everyone had a good trip.
The night promised to be warmish (great weather for the clubs drinking habits, but then again when has the weather stopped us?), food was the usual high quality, the banter similar & the drinking spirited.
One casualty of the night was a bottle of Drambuie (oh oh, this seems familiar), with the absence of my sipping colleague (Otto), I was forced to enlist someone else, thankfully a few else's were more than obliging & at around 10-11pm, someone had the empty held over their mouth to prove that there is more than one way to empty a bottle (without smashing it on the concrete).
Sunday morning was an early one, bright sunshine had all the sorry heads (a rough estimate was 2 cartons of Bundy , 3/4 of a carton of Beam/Jack, 2 cartons of beer, a few bottles of wine, half a carton of pre-mix scotch & near a full bottle of scotch between around 30 odd [yes we are odd aren't we] people) up early, still talking the kind of 'truths' from the preceding night until breakfast came along.

On the pack up, Rosco found that one of his centre stand bolts had decided that it no longer wanted to be Guzzi & must have bailed out somewhere on the way in, so a frantic search for spanners/tools was undertaken to remove the centre stand for the trip home (thanks to Mark F). That was the only major incident of note the whole weekend.

I have about 30 pictures so I won't post them all here, you all should know my photobucket account but once more for the slow learners or for those with my affliction (it's a drinking problem really, 2 hands but only 1 mouth)...................................................................................................

I'm sure there will be other accounts & there are somethings that transpired that I wasn't witness too, evidently there was someone whom was rather loud but I personally didn't see them.

for those that didn't make it, you missed a pearler, for those that were present, I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.

Ride safe,
