There is no Smart Alec reply. How can one argue with someone who marks his progress on a trip by the availability of pubs? Besides, I'm not in the mood.....Stoner did it again......low-sided......which at least is in keeping with the subject of this post

The pubs are also useful for navigation , sustenance, information centres,shelter from rain hail or shine and the occasional (very these days) amourous adventure.

Amorous Adventures? Amorous Adventures? Now your testing my memory. I seem to recall them somewhere in the recesses of my mind. Is that where a guy rolls out of a pub at closing time, thinking he's jumping on a 1200 Sport, but when he wakes up next morning it's actually an old Cali with flat tyres and bulging panniers?

Hey! Get out of my post! Point taken though. If I wanted to up-grade, a Griso would be on my short list of wanna-haves. 1200 Sport is 1st choice at the moment. Only trouble is, I'd have to get rid of the Breva, and I can't see myself ever doing that willingly
