Hey all
Had the ecu reflash done on the G11 ,installed the new o2 sensor ,power commander V and auto tune.
It has cured all the popping on deceleration, made the bike run sweet at low revs and eliminated the surging.
Acceleration is smooth , no dead spots and is going like a scalded cat, will take it out to one of favorite back roads for a real run and see what it does now.
With the new O2 sensor feeding info to the auto tune and the power commader controlling the injectors the bike is running like it should , a simple install and easy to use computer interface.
The Griso now runs like it should have from the start but the Euro epa laws have strangled the bike from the factory.
$1500 dollars to fix something that should not be there from the start.
I've perservered with it but I can see how some people would be turned off by having to do this and sell their Guzzi because of it.
So if you have a late model bike with the problems like I had this is a fantastic solution.

This is exactly the problem(s) I've had with the Breva, and mentioned elsewhere on here.
Seemed to be running sweetly for a while, after Tom tried a trick or two, and we added some injector cleaner to the tank, but then
I went for a ride last week, and it's playing up again, although perhaps not so badly.

Really at my wit's end, and thinking there's going to be lots of $'s involved in sorting it.....?
Not the sort of thing Moto Guzzi needs happening to owners of their machines!

I don't think of myself as a techno-phobe, but sometimes I think we've been pushed down the electronics road too far for your average owner/rider!
:2c:

P.S. The link didn't work when I tried it, swagzz.

Having similar problems with the 1100 & appear to have found an alternate solution (not as yet tested by me).
The weak link appears to be the Weber Marelli injection system (on my model bike anyway) & no amount of new oxygen sensors, injector cleaners etc. seems to fix it.
The Solution:

Replace the ECU with one produced locally by a Guzzi nut in Sydney - "Cliff Jefferies". Check out this link

http://www.jefferies-au.org

A number of guys in the Guzzi club have gone down this route with the earlier model ECU's (such as the one in my Corsa) & swear by it (as does Tommy Newell), these things are now being shipped off all over the world, which is testament to good old Aussie ingenuity. Cliff appears to also produce a replacement for post 2000 model Guzzi's - it would be worth investigating if this is suitable for your bike, the website has great detailed information & Cliff is very easy to converse with via email.

Essentially the system is fully "tunable" (is that a word) with an infinite number of maps that can be developed. No need to worry about holes in the programme to satisfy ADR's for noise at 3000rpms etc. so you can get the tuning spot-on.

Sounds like it will cost a fortune?
$520 + GST for a replacement (if you provide the ECU box off your bike) or you could build yourself from a kit for $250 + GST (sounds like fun Hairee???) seems reasonable to me.

Worth a look anyway.

Cheers,
Steve

Hello Hairee,

Found out Cliff personally runs a 750 Breva with a My15M computer - as a solution it is appears a suitable, affordable option. Speak to Tommy if in doubt.

Cheers,
Steve
