G'day all. My name is Gordon and I am a Guzzi rider. I own 2 of them at present with one being a Le Mans Rosso Corse and the other a Cali EV. I believe that the Rosso Corse is the last one of the 11 that were imported into Australia to be sold so I feel pretty pleased about that as well as with the bike. After getting a large dose of Guzzi fever from the Rosso Corse I decided to buy the Cali but it's being sold on soon so there will be another Guzzi owner up here on the Darling Downs. Over in the corner is a dusty 1983 CB1100 Honda which awaits my lotto win so that I can restore it to it's former glory - if it ever had any!
I have been a bike rider for the last 39 years and have riden both in Australia and outside this country. I tried a bit of drag racing many years ago and enjoyed the buzz from that. I confess that there was less track riding though. Most of my former road riding has been head down with the throttle on the main's but these days I enjoy the scenery a lot more. I've enjoyed a few Ruptured Budgie rally's and went to my first Ragged Fringe last year so a couple these this year are on the cards.
The sound of the Guz on the highway is a very alluring thing and one that is addictive and I wish that I'd have discovered this a lot earlier in my motorcycling life.
So anyhow that's enough from me I will say hooroo for now.

Welcome Gordon, I've heard your name mentioned here and there around the club. Don't worry, there was nothing too bad that I can recall. Hope you enjoy the forum and post heaps of worthless crap like the rest of us :thumb:

Hey GOD, glad you rocked up here...! I can attest to the visual pull of GOD's Rosso, it was the bike that made me want a Guz after years and years of Jap touring bikes.... It is still one of the best Guzzis that I have ever seen... until a Ghezzi Brian or MGS Corsa rips past me, I think Gordon better keep his well locked up...!

GOD, you know how much I want your front forks and fender !!!!

Cheers mate.

G'day and welcome Gordon,
I'm sure I've seen you on the Rosso on the odd occasion. Last time was on West and James I think.

G'day Tryg, did I tell you about my new anti theft system I recently had installed around my Guz? It's a half starved, angry Doberman with a 9mm Hi power Browning! Daily stock takes on my bikes front end are carried out too.

G'day Waz owthadevilareya? I haven't seen you for a while. I think the last time was when we arranged for the MGOC QLD to ride up here for a visit to the Aerotec hangar and a quenching ale at the Shamrock. Do you still ride your Cali look alike? I know of one other V11 LeMans up here that is the beautiful red that only the Italians can do but not any other Rosso's so if it wasn't me you saw it may have been him. I have seen that bike at the local uni.

G'day Mark, if what you heard about me was positive can you let me know who said what so I can get a payment of to them!!
Seriously I'm no guru at this stuff but I wasn't a Guzzi rider before 03 either and I have adapted well to them, so give me a bit of time and practice and I promise to submit as much crap as the forum can handle. Thanks for the welcome.

G'day Hairee, yep good to meet you and I'm sure that we can get a ride organised up and around these regions if you are interested. What would be handy to know is how long - in time and distance, that you would like? Do you want to spread out as far as Stanthorpe? Great wines down that way too! There are a lot of Guzzi riders up here on the Downs so that with a little bit of "home work" we could arrange a big day or a casual one. Let any of us know up here and we will get started.

G'day Ostrider, you didn't notice my mobile anti theft device, aka Fang the Doberman, the other day when you called around? Never mind, he would have had you in the cross hairs!!

Sounds like a good idea Waz. Unfortunately it's a busy period for me. I'll keep my eye on the board though.

GOD's computer is obviously up & running now,

I keep telling you all that GOD rides a Cali, but up until now you've not believed me.

Repent now all ye sinners, salvation is at hand.

BUY A CALI !
