Mornin folks!

Firstly, let me say how glad I am that I found this forum yesterday. I'm looking for expert professional advice  for the bike I mean, and am also looking for a small group to do the occasional Sunday ride. There's two checkboxes ticked.

I have a 2004 Breva 750 which I absolutely adore and have owned him for 2 years. So far I've not encountered any dramas with the bike other than owner operator, with very short legs.

At the moment I live on the Sunshine Coast after just having moved from NSW and the bike/s (the other is a jap cruiser, my first born) is in short term storage until I can find a permanent place to live, hopefully somewhere not too far north of Brisbane. Oh yeah, and I NEED A JOB TOO!

Welcome to our humble forum. Yet another Breva 750 rider! Hairee will be pleased. I'm starting to think we will need a section here just for you folk.

What, a section for whom??
for people with terrafirma proximity syndrome
,the unemployed,
the homeless or
the breva riders.

Hi Guzzigirl
Welcome to the forum and I'm always up for a sunday ride as long as i get to
eat somewhere they sell beer during the day.
I'm actually starting my own religious sect where riding on sunday is considered worship
and the churches up here have 4 crosses on them XXXX.
Riding on other days is actively encouraged when ever possible .
Anyway good luck with house , job hunting.
later swagzz

Go Breva (750) go!
If numbers are an indicator, Breva 750's must be pretty good, or are they just CHEAP to purchase, compared to other Guzzis??? :thumb:
As I've said elsewhere, I'd love a 1200 Sport or a Norge maybe, but I can only afford one bike at a time, and cannot imagine selling the 750.
In fact, if I was to have more than one Guzzi, I'd have a new V7 Classic, and the new V7 Sport retro coming out later this year.
I love upsetting all those big block riders by always being right there in their mirrors, well on the twisty bits at least.
Maybe I could start collecting 750's, but not a Nevada.......too much like a Cali! HA! :eyecrazy: :coolgleam:

And, yes, welcome Guzzigirl......people of your impeccable taste are always welcome at Club functions! :bash: :guzzi:

Welcome Guzzigirl,
Let me first say that there is nobody on the Sunshine Coast that can properly work on a Guzzi, there is a multi-dealer there that sells Guzzi's but they aren't very interested or skilled in maintaining Guzzi's.
The closest good shop you'll find is Newell's in Brisbane, there are quite a few Guzzi owners up on the sunny, they mostly do their own work & buy parts from Newell's or bring them down for more 'hands-on' issues.
Don't listen to Hairee, not sure what he smokes or if he keeps forgetting to take his medication, but he's off with the fairies, I'm told they ride a bit slower when he's around so that he can keep up. P.S, Hairee you won't be buying a new Norge (this year at least), JSG are not bringing any Norges into the country, the rumours about the Cali's are marginal as they've emailed me saying that Cali's are in their picture for the coming year, but would confirm if the Cali's future was guaranteed.

The Queensland Guzzi club meet the first Wednesday of every month at the Motorcycle Sportsmans Club at Albion, you are more than welcome to rock on by & introduce yourself or even join.

We have a technical page here for problem solving/advice, we may have to try to get a little Sunny Coast thing happening for service/repairs between the locals up there, it might be a case of a many head/hands thing.

Keep it clean you mob of animals :bash: , the poor girl has just joined the forum, now what's she going to think of us? :censor:
Is it not going to be bad enough when she meets me at a club event?

To answer the shot about Cali owners, we don't need our hands on either of our heads as there is always someone else quite happy to handle them for us. :focus:

I'm gutted. Here I was thinking I was getting my confidence back after all those years without a bike of my own!
At least it shows what a nice bunch of people we have in the Guzzi Club.....they're kind to their senior citizens! :snail: :moped:

Awwah, thanks everyone for the welcome. :sweety: I'm really looking forward to meeting you, and in particular doing Sunday rides.

Wal, thanks for the info re Newell's.

While I'm writing this I'm having a squizzy at Breva's new pearly blue colour....What were they thinking!

At the moment I've short listed some real estate in and around Albion, Zillmere areas...close to trains for work in the city. I'm getting a bit antsy so I'm hoping things will come together quickly so I can bring the bike up here....toot sweet!

Ok, I've got questions to post......

Go Guzzigirl! Another 750 Breva rider - we're taking over the world!
As you probably know, there are some great rides on the Sunny Coast, having lived there myself (now in Brisbane)
Let me know if you need help settling in (cant guarantee a job though!)
Hope to see you at one of our club meetings.

Cheers.

Wal's pretty well summed it up. Tom is the man in SE Qld for guzzi work. :number1:

I'm on the Sunshine Coast near Mooloolaba and as Wal states I do all my own work and get most of my parts through Tom. If he has trouble accessing bits for my older bikes then I sometimes need to hunt elsewhere but he always gets first chance.

My bikes have carbies so I'm not up on any fuel injection issues but besides that I'm happy to help if you need. The little Brevas seem reliable enough and being relatively new you shouldn't expect too many problems with yours.

Cheers

Rod
