Moto Guzzi Club of Queensland Forum

The first meeting for the year is next week, be great to see a few new faces as well as the usual suspects.

The meeting is at the Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland Club, 35 Crosby Rd, Albion. It is on Wednesday, 4 February starting at 7.30pm.

You don't want to meet that Wal bloke, he's rude, arogant & an all round bastard, especially to people whom don't ride Cali's.

So all you non-Cali riders .

I regularly fall asleep in front of free-to-air tv unless "The Doctor" is on, but I have NEVER fallen asleep at a Guzzi Club meeting, especially as Wal is usually there

Do I have to be nice to Wal to join the MGOQ ??

Na fark that for a joke, if fact if you join MGCoQ you can probably be less nice to him.

Only problem here on the forum is, he's the moderator, so he can edit, delete your posts , or even ban you.
Why they ever gave someone nasty like him that sort of power is beyond me

Definitely not!

We need all the help we can get to keep him in check (doubt if anyone's been successful yet).

He's not such a terrible bloke really, it's just his persistence regarding Calis that needs bringing to heel.

I've checked the Guzzi club constitution and I can find no specific reference to either Wal or being nice in a more general sense. Check for yourself, it is on the website http://www.motoguzziclubqld.org/about/MGCQ_Constitution.pdf

I have also considered history and precedence, and I'm damned if I can recall anyone anywhere ever being nice to Wal. It think it is fair to say that this is unlikely to happen anytime in the foreseeable future.

So, if that was holding you back from joining, let it trouble you no more

Careful you lot, they may make Wal a life-member then you'll be stuck with him for good .
There has even been talk about making Wal President , but a little birdy told me that he might not want the job .

Reminder to all, your membership has expired & needs to be renewed if you wish to vote in the March AGM.

New memberships are $30-, renewal is $20-, last years christmas party cost non-members $30, so everybody whom attended got their monies worth.





P.S, No Mark I didn't edit your post, I hit the damn 'edit' button instead of the 'quote' button, but I should have changed it to say that the constitution said the everybody HAS to be nice to Wal.

I accidently banned Hairee for a month, so if you don't see him posting you'll know why.

The problem with saying nasty things about the moderator, he sometimes accidently slips & hits the ban button in your profile, when he's reading the nasty posts about him, still can't work out exactly how I get from the post to the persons profile by accident, must be something amiss with my computer

Nice to catch up with you at the meeting tonight Wal.

(Now that wasn't so difficult....if we are nice to Wal for a change, he might get REALLY jittery.....who knows what might happen!?)

Apparently I am also colour blind and unable to see invisible lights, according to the young officer gentleman who accused me of going through a red arrow on the way to the meeting.
I said fair go officer, I didn't even see the Indians!
After he asked me if I was accusing him of being a liar, he admitted he was at the intersection because a maintenance crew was working on the lites. He let me off with a warning to be more careful

i'm glad wal doesn't drive his bikes like he does a computer.

It will be MR Wally next week. I hear the boy is getting himself all tied up or something similar
