The Wife and Myself had the most bestest of enjoyable times.
Unfortunately she passed out early in the piece, but she is a little girl and alcohol is a big drink.
I myself had the most enjoyable of times, catching up with family (who came up from Vic) and friends and acquaintances not seen for along time. Best part of the night was a person who came up while I was at the bar and saying " I know you " about 50 times, cut along story short, 2 years ago I pulled up on the way to the GP and pulled out my tubeless repair kit for a poor bloke on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, as any bike rider would, and I thought nothing more of it. Well he didn't forget, next year I'll pay ya back for the head-ache, worst thing is, I can't remember much, and name still escapes me. But I'll get ya back, whoever that masked man was.
Apologies must go out for Sunday morn, I did a small bit of cleaning up, but couldn't hang around long to do any packing up for the club, as I was flat out carrying myself, let alone anything else (medical issues not alcohol) and had to get back to Brissy.
As only a new member to the club, I would have to say it was one of the best times I have ever had, and as a club, one of the best, friendliest events around.
Roll on 2010.

It was a great time, we finished & left about 11.30, made the pub to settle the bill & grab some food around 1.30.
Thanks to all those hands (there were many) that helped out over the weekend, with out those people the rally would not be a success.
We had 330 through the gate, down twenty or so from last year but with the current fiscal position a great turn out.
I haven't heard any negative feedback as yet, there has to be something we can improve, we will probably buy a few more toilets, repair the women's port-a-loo that somebody has taken to & stole a major component of.
The catering next year may be a little different but the club will discuss this when we have our post Budgie get together.
I haven't seen the celebrity photo on the front page of the club website as yet, was there a celebrity there I hear you ask?, check out the photo when our web master posts it & work out whom may have been there yet no one seemed to have noticed.

What a top weekend! Great weather, good company, and good roads for the trip down on Friday. And the rest of the weekend was just as good! Friday night was a blast, as always. Damn that bottle of White Port evaporated quickly! I'm pretty sure Wal had something to do with that :drinkies:

The weather stayed fine, and the crowd was great. I caught up with some folk I hadn't seen for quite a while. We sat around a roaring fire, had some medicinal drinks and talked about old times. I am reminded once again how such simple things in life are often the best.

I've posted the picture Wal mentioned on the index page of the site. I got around and took a heap of photos during the weekend, when time allows I'll put a selection of these on the site. I hope to get that done sometime this week.

Last year I went for the day. This year took the good lady and stayed overnight. What a great time! Not sure if I have the stamina to go the full distance next year but I'll try to work up to it. Well done all the organizers - a top effort!

Hi all
First rally in 15 years , First rally with the Griso , First rally as a member of the MGCoQ.
Running late leaving home, so put a few quick k's behind me and still made the rally just after 2 oclock to be greeted by Wal's smiling face.
Would have been a couple of minutes earlier if I hadn't overshot the turnoff at the Mingoola School.
Met the rest of the club members across the creek and had a beer and a bullshit with Howard and Rod and a few others. Still getting to know everyone.
The trip through the Bruxner was fun, just have to watch the corners where the road has been pushed up into humps for the unwary.
Fueled up at Tenterfield at 1.30 then floated out to the rally Site, lovely bit of country and some nice big sweepers just built for a low flying Guzzi.
A 1200 sport had passed me going the oppposite way when I left town ,Rob the pilot was there from Coffs Harbour ? and we ended up throwing the tents up in the Japanese Gardens aka the Rock Quarry.
Lesson learnt there, get to rally on FRIDAY.
Grabbed a couple of beers and wandered about checking out bikes and taking pics of all the guzzi's around the site.
Saturday night was just a great time yarning with whoever you ended up standing next to and enjoying the laid back atmosphere.
Will definately be back next year and will bring the partner in crime because 2 in a sleeping bag is a hell of a lot warmer than one and this year was warm apparently.
Finished the return trip with cruise over Burringbar Range waving to the nice policeman with his hairdryer doing Village People impersonations thanks to someone flashing their lights then a blast through the backroads from Murwillumbah to Tallebudgera Rd making heaps of noise which must have pissed of the 2 of Qld's finest hiding behind the trees on Tally Valley Rd, the Kermit Green SS Cumondedoors stood out a bit too much as I had seen it at an RBT site last week. Cruised past at 60 k's with a really really big shit eating grin.
A quick blat along the Old Coach road into the Wallaby Hotel for beer before heading home.
Will be doing a few more rally's real soon but the Budgie was just great, even better than advertised.
later swagzz

GOD does ride a Guzzi, a V11 LeMans Rosso Corsa actually. I know this to be true cos I met him at the gate when he arrived. I also witnessed proof positive of GOD's great wisdom when he declined to leave his bike in Wal's keeping at the gate.

Lots of people have to go to prison to find God, I found him at the Budgie

You'd think that GOD would lend Wal his Corsa, bloody GOD wouldn't lend Wal his Cali when he had it either.

Wal's not going to turn christian with a dud GOD like that.

And Wal took $20 from God to get in the gate, no one gets into the Budgie for free, not even GOD.

The Guzzi Club's rally is about as good as it gets. When the Daleks turn up along with GOD then you know it has got the "housewifes tick of approval". For Wal, I certainly appreciate your assistance regarding looking after my Rosso but when it comes to my Guzzi I know what she likes and it's me!! I took the liberty to onsell my Cali just so there wouldn't be any more bickering between the Guzzi's. The Rosso is the boss.
By the way Bill and I came down to the RB the back way from Toowoomba via Leyburn, Karara and south off the highway at Gore never once seeing the boys in blue. Great Guzzi terrority too.

Does selling the Cali mean Wal will revoke GOD's Cali Club membership.?
Then the Cali Club will no longer have GOD on their side?

It does, that is rule No.1 (from memory it's the only rule), but you must own a Cali.

So yes GOD is no longer a member of The Cali Gang, but some may say that we have the Devil on our side.
